Information Technology Services has negotiated a Microsoft Agreement that provides the University of Alaska faculty and staff with the use of selected Microsoft software applications. Software may be acquired and installed via three different programs: 1) the Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES), 2) the Work at Home (WAH) program, and 3) the Home Use Program (HUP).
* Please Note: Student employees, graduate student employees, and emeritus faculty are not presently eligible for Microsoft's Work at Home and Home Use Programs.
Workstations are eligible for upgrades to the Windows operating systems under the current EES & WAH agreement. Workstations must be purchased with a valid Microsoft OS to be eligible. Installing Windows OS on a Mac workstation under the EES and WAH is considered an upgrade. Windows operating systems are not presently available under the HUP.
Windows Server operating systems are not included; however, the following client access licenses (CALs) are covered under the agreement: System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Exchange, Windows Server, SharePoint Server.
