Update VOIP Phone Settings Using the Cisco Self Service Portal

What is this article about?

You are able to customize your phone or alter phone settings by going online and logging on to the CISCO Call Manager User Option web page. From this page you can set your phone to forward calls to a different number, update speed dials, view the user guide for your phone, alter your personal address book, as wll as other options.

What materials do I need?

Compatible web browser (Google Chrome recommended).

How do I use this technology?

To login to the user options web page:

  1. Access the Internet
    • The CISCO Unified CM User Options page appears
  2. Enter your user ID (This is your primary five digit extension number)
  3. Enter your password (By default this is the same as your extension number)
  4. Click login
  5. You are now loggin in and see 'User Options' within this option you will have the following items:
    1. Device
    2. User Settings
    3. Directory
    4. Personal Address Book
    5. Fast Dials
    6. Mobility Settings


Device's allows you to download a user guide info about your phone, it is also the place where you will be able to foward your calls and set speed dials for your phone.
*When making a change, make sure you save after your change has taken place and also push the "apply config" to reset the phone for changes to take place. 

User Settings

This section will allow the user to change their password & PIN to the following items: Password is for the CM User Options page and PIN is for the users voicemail.


This is an online directory that you can search a user by different options i.e: Last Name, First Name, User ID (phone extention), Ext & LDAP Ext (phone extention)

Personal Address Book

This is option is exactly how it sounds. It's an address book that you can maintain with who you wish to keep contact with.
*This feature is not enabled by default on phones. If this is something you wish to have, please contact UAA IT Service Center to request for it

Fast Dials

This is your speed dial option. This is where you can setup any speed dials that you wish to use on your phone.

Mobility Settings

This holds two different options within it: Alternate Numbers & Allowed or Blocked Lists.

Alternate Numbers: This option allows a user to have their number ring as well on a different line as well.
Allowed or Blocked Lists: This is a list that you can allow or not allow to come through on your alternate number.
